The master does not seek power; this is the reason he is powerful. The common man always wants more power; this is why he has so little. The master practices not-doing; yet nothing remains un-done. The common man is forever doing things; yet to him, there is always more to be done.
The kind man does kind deeds; yet many kind deeds remain un-done. The just man does just deeds; yet many just deeds remain un-done. The moral man tries to make others as moral as he, and when this fails, he frowns and uses force.
When the connection with Reality is lost, there comes a show of goodness. When a show of goodness is lost, there follows a show of morality. When a show of morality is lost, there comes a show of religion. When a show of religion is lost, chaos sweeps in.
The master sees the depths, not just the surface. The Soul, not just the body. He has no will of his own. He inhabits Reality, letting all illusion go.
There is no telling where Reality ends, and he begins.
