When a wise man hears of Reality, he begins moving towards it. When an intelligent man hears of Reality, he half believes it, half doubts it. When a fool hears of Reality, he decides he already knows about it, and laughs loudly. If he did not, there would be no wise or intelligent men.
It is said that the path to the light seems dark; that the way ahead seems to go back. That the direct route seems longer; that true power seems weak. That true virtue seems suspect; that true clarity seems obscure. That true art seems artless; that true love seems indifferent. And most of all, that true wisdom seems childish.
Reality remains silent, offering no defense. Content to nourish and complete all things.
